WordPress for Designers and Administrators
Description
WordPress is a very popular Web 2.0 blogging technology. Now most web hosts provide WordPress as an installable application making it accessible to anyone wanting to host a feature packed and highly supported blog platform.
This course is designed for those who will be web designers, power users, or administrators of a WordPress blog.
Prerequisites
Prior to taking WordPress you should take a general study of internet technology such as Introduction to Web Design.
Software Required
Most students will use a hosted service through their web site host. Most hosts will provide WordPress as an installable application. If you have not yet installed WordPress we suggest you wait until you have begun the course to do the installation. This helps assure you get the configuration correct the first time.
WordPress is a server technology. You can run this software from your home computer but be sure you check all of the prerequisites on the Joomla web site before hand.
