Introduction to Web Design

Description

Introduction to Web Design is intended to "fill in the gaps". Most of the courses you will take in your Web Design sequence are very application specific, this one is very broad. Intro to Web design will look at such basic and essential topics as buying a domain, finding a host, basic search engine optimization, and using Web 2.0 components. These are the essential skills assumed of someone in the Web world. This course will familiarize you with the common languages, technologies, and tools of the trade. There is a significant amount of hands-on practice in this class and you will be doing a bit of programing even if programming is not your final goal.

This course is typically done through our Personal Pace Program and students should plan to spend about 3-5 days working full time on the materials.
