Web 2.0 For Business

Description

Web 2.0 for Business is designed for both the small business owner and the web designer. In both cases you will learn what technologies exist for businesses to use on the web, how to leverage them, and why you should care. In today's climate any business not making use of current technologies is at a significant disadvantage. The specifics of this course will change as new technologies emerge and are adopted by the business community.

Objectives

Participants will:

  • Follow appropriate news sources to stay informed of trends and emerging technology
  • Adopt current communications tools such as Twitter, LinkedIn, or Facebook
  • Follow best practices in use of communication tools
  • Adopt business productivity tools such as SugarCRM, Zoho, Google Docs, or Mail Chimp
  • Adopt and participate in review and location-based search sites such as Yelp and Google Maps

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to this course. Participants will gain the most from this class if they have a working business to which they can apply the learning.
