Adobe Acrobat 9

Description

Adobe's Acrobat has long been the industry standard for creating and managing portable documents for use in print and online. This comprehensive 1-day class is designed for the person who wants to better leverage the advanced features of this often under-utilized workhorse. You will learn how to use Acrobat from top to bottom and gain competence in every common task.The application is very fun and relatively easy to learn.

Prerequisites

Prior to taking Acrobat you should be comfortable with your computer and common business applications such as Microsoft Office or OpenOffice.org. You will get the most of the course if you have used PDFs before but no experience is really necessary.

Expected Outcomes[1]

Participants will:

  • Participants will effectively use Acrobat for many daily office tasks.
  • Participants will encourage use of Acrobat in the review process.
  • Participants will reduce printing and paper use through PDFs.
  • Participants will produce forms which are platform independent and accessible to all users.

  • Acrobat User Group is a great resource for information and help. There are several local chapters including one in the Twin Cities.

Software Required

If you are taking this course it is most likely that you are using a work computer and they will take care of the software. If you wish to take this course at home to prepare for work you may consider using the 30-day trial version available from Adobe. Please make a note of the hardware/software requirements at Adobe.com if you are installing this software on your own.
