Description
Access is a common relational database found in many businesses. Access is not the easiest application to learn and can be daunting to the uninitiated. We will help you grasp the basics of the technology and how to apply it in a real business world setting.
Objectives
Participants will:
- Efficiently create and maintain department-level databases using Microsoft Access 2003
- Utilize best-practices in database design to assure extensibility and compatibility
- Manage data effectively to maximize their organizations reporting and data processing
- Advocate for use of secure and efficient data entry and data management
- Build model databases and help set best-practices in their organizations

How long does the class take?

Prerequisites
You must be comfortable with using your computer and with basic office applications such as Excel. You do not need database experience but you should be familiar with the use of Excel or similar spreadsheet applications.
The IC3 program is an excellent preparation for the Microsoft Office courses.
